IMDA to be present at CeBIT

The IMDA will be present at the CeBIT trade show in Hannover (Germany) on February 28th, 2011. CeBIT is the famous annual German CE trade show and conference in early march (March 1-5, 2011), presenting new developments of the digital industry.

If you plan to visit CeBIT, please feel free to contact the IMDA project office and ask for an appointment to meet an IMDA representative. We are looking forward to meeting with you in Hannover.

IMDA met during EBU’s Digital Radio Week

February 17th, 2011

The IMDA held regular working group meetings on the 16th and 17th February 2011 in Geneva (CH) to coincide with EBU’s Digital Radio Week.

After various fruitful meetings, a lot of progress was made in the different working groups:

  • The Marketing Committee structured the work to be done in 2011 and prepared the presentation for the NAB show in April. Please see details here
  • An extension of the IMDA Service Identification was decided, regarding the signalization of alternative broadcasting technologies (e.g. FM, DAB, DVB etc.) as well as the signalization of EPG-data for scheduled content.
  • The XML-input webform for the IMDA Service Identification was discussed. The form will be online on the IMDA website prior to NAB.
  • The IMDA approved the project scope for the implementation of the Central Discovery System (CDS), assuming to have the system ready in early summer.

The IMDA Internet Radio Forum was held at the Las Vegas Hilton on January 7, 2011, to coincide with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).  Interesting presentations were given by industry experts and lively panel discussions took place.
