The Steering Committee is the core body of the Internet Media Device Alliance and responsible for the strategic alignment of the whole organisation. The SC also has to prioritize the tasks of its subordinated committees and working groups and overseas the operational and financial management of the IMDA.
The SC is comprised of elected representatives from IMDA member organisations and meets quarterly. The current SC members are:

Automotive Working Group

The Automotive Working Group focuses on the specific issues of bringing Internet Radio to the car that enables a seamless and safe user experience. We recently released a draft document titled “Internet Radio in the Automobile – IMDA Automotive Profile 1.” This document, which has been issued for industry review, provides the minimal set of features for Internet radio in the car.
Metadata working group
The Metadata working group is currently undertaking collaborative work with the organisation RadioDNS. The IMDA Service Identification for Broadcasters & Aggregators, which was developed as an attempt to standardise the industry of Internet Radio, will be now aligned with the RadioEPG XSI standard to ease use for broadcasters and solution providers alike.

Jan NORDMANN (Fraunhofer)
The main objective of the Marketing Committee is to promote the work of the IMDA and to encourage a marketing culture among members. The MC is also responsible for the organisation and operation of marketing events such as showcases, presentations and the annual summits in America and Europe.
